Goodbye old friend

Today was a productive day. Not, I got all the laundry or dishes done, but get those things done before the frozen tundra sets in, kinda things. Like scrubbing on hand and knee the brown scum at the bottom of the empty pool. Thank goodness it got up to 70 today so it could completely dry out. Putting on the storm windows (thanks to john for doing that fun chore). Saying goodbye to the green Aspire, a sweet family in our ward needed it more than us. So today we scrubbed it really well inside and out one last time, and waved goodbye as it was driven away. I almost cried. We got the aspire in 97 so john would have a reliable car to drive to the hospital in his third year of med. school. We will miss the little turtle.
We also had to miss a baptism of a wonderful girl on our primary class today, because Christian got a really long splinter in his foot. His first one. Poor buddy, we thought oh maybe we will leave the stuck part in and wait for it to pop out. Nope, Christian was in to much pain. So John opened it up and dug it out. After, he was up dancing to his fav movie " Lighting McQueen". And a happy night was had by all.
